I'm thinking about trying some seastar again. I've tried them in the past but they always ended up dead in a few months. Has anyone successfully keep them alive long term and what are the keys in keeping them happy and ALIVE?:)

I've kept sand sifting starfish long term, but they are pretty boring. I read that orange linkias last longer than blue. I kept one for like a year and a half. It kept shrinking though and ended up getting eaten by a harlequin shrimp. I put the shrimp in for asterinas but forgot the stars were there

:) lol I just get lucky is all .. Had these guys for 4-yrs ( well the orange only like 3 I guess)
Literally chucked in the blue when my tank was a month old .. It's lasted through 2 crashes and 4 transfers since..
No special attention at all , they just cruise the tank eating biofilm
