Wrasse are out of QT and in acclimation. They'll be released once my lazy ass finishes my net top. So far the ornate pays no attention to the juvenile leopard and the pintail could care less about the fairies in the acclimation box.
I'm going to release the leopard tonight so it can sleep.

Eight line flasher and radiant in QT. Both acclimated but the radiant ain’t looking hot right now. Seems to struggle to right itself.

stoked on the 8 line though. That’s been on my list.

Not sure if this guy was stuck in the bag weird or what. It was a curbside type deal already bagged when I got there.

Nice! Hopefully the little guy will pull through. Maybe just stressed out a bit?
I was hoping the same so I killed the lights. It seemed like a little more than stress though. I felt like he looked a little off In the bag. Bummer, nice and small a colorful.

Wrasses can be pretty delicate sometimes. That 8 line is going to rule that tank. Can’t wait to see the videos of it flashing. When I had a carpenters, it was electric when he flashed, such a cool thing to watch them.

When are you going to start selling tickets for viewing? :D
We had to file to be a school for homeschool, maybe I can file for a public aquarium and give free admission and write this B off? :ROFLMAO:

Drop by anytime. Hopefully I'll have it de-cluttered and looking good here soon.

if you have ruby reef rally it contains acriflavine which apparently helps fish on the strugglebus

methlyne blue bath might also be helpful
Man I feel like mine was way old so I tossed it. I'll see if he's kickin tomorrow. If he is I'll run out and grab something and give it a go.

Basically I’m just using a 20G QT to get new additions acclimated and eating. Then observe and treat for flukes and deworm if needed. Mostly just trying to avoid velvet.

Just FYI. A local reefer just posted on FB that his new fish (wrasse) died from Uronema. (he bought at Pet World in Redlands). Last thing you want in a tank. Keep an eye out for it in QT.

Hahaha I could only imagine how many filings there would be if you could write it off!!

Appreciate that might let you get it just right before I stop by and see it lol!

I saw that. Going to keep and close eye on these guys for sure. Well the flasher. Unfortunately the radiant didn’t make the night.

No visible marking or parasites.

Oh man, that sucks! Btw, I like general cure for wrasses, praziquantel on it's own can be too strong for most wrasses. Two rounds of GC with them is usually enough. GC has prazi in it, but at the right concentration. You should reach out to Adam from Ocean Devotion, that's where I get all of my from and they're super healthy and full QT'd. I can text you his info, just lmk? Again, sorry to hear about the wrasse.

Maybe I'll shoot you a text for that contact. I don't mind doing simple QT for the most part but maybe for specific fish. So basically the seller is going to replace the fish so I'll be taking another shot at it if he comes through.

I started to notice a little hierarchy form in each box. I made the decision to let them join the group. Not sure that was the correct decision. The pintail did some displays as expected but it's the dang clowns that are really being dicks. It also upset the anthias chain of command, they are now figuring it all out again.

The only one I'm somewhat worried about is the Naoko wrasse. He dove straight for a monti cap, is under it currently huffing and puffing. If he doesn't come out tomorrow I'll be doing my best to catch and possibly re-home him or attempt to reacclimate him somehow. Too cool of a fish to let wither away.

I had the same issues with my purple tang, Copperband, and wrasses. I opted to feed more and that seemed to solve the aggressions. Im not sure if that is an option for your tank.

LOTS of coral gone and still got too much but I'm working on placing things now. Trying to keep structures and color mixed well, mainly from the top down. I don't want to looked down at a piece with basically a back drop of a similar color.

One thing I've noticed so far, the tenuis are really loving life right now. My TGC Cherry bomb is a piece that was just kinda there but man that thing is looking really damn good right now. BC Bubblebath Unicorn is also looking fantastic.

I feel PAR is very high throughout this tank, i need to get a meter over here and see what I'm doing. Things lightened up a bit so I lowered my t5 photoperiod and am just supplementing with the kessils for extended viewing. I'm 8 hours on the 2 channel (Pure Actinic) and 7 hours on the 8 lamp channel now. Kessil ramp blue then to 50/50 power/color for 10 hours and ramp back down. Looks great though I wish I had a deeper blue so some form of upgrade to 360x may be down the line/ or I'm almost tempted to get some 36" UV oprhek bars over here in combo with the 360we. I just don't want to go too Frankenstein :)
