In that second pic you've got what look like two of the same frag next to each other. How much luck do you have frags joining each other? Ive had mixed luck where I'd say half of mine end up encrusting over the other...instead of combining.
That's interesting. Usually they'll meet where they encrust to for me and rejoin one another. We will see, these broke in the bag. I'll pay attention to what happens when they meet. I have two small frags of ASD Doomsday that should meet soon as well. I'll let you know what happens.

Heliarc Prostata. I believe the seller said it came from SPS Coral Store. Super nice blue piece. Not sure if it's sensitive but I feel like it lost a little pop from the bayers dip. Could also be my alk difference from his NSW to my higher alk. Suckers nice though

Looking forward to what happens. Also I love your named pieces, it's quite the collection you've accumulated! You're gonna be a fragger in demand once they get colony size, I know I want a few of the pieces you've shared already ;)

Thanks Gedxin. I'm following your build on R2R and you've got a great collection going as well. Maybe we will be able to trade down the road.

I'll frag here and there but for the most part my goal for this system is decent sized colonies throughout. We'll see how I do though, haha

Once these settle in I'm hunting for:
-Purple Monster
-Blue heavy tenuis; Pengs heart of the Ocean (got out bid on jda's last auction) TCK Supersonic or the like; Jolt; RRU Angry Birds
-If the price fades some for decent frags; Rainbow Splice

That prostrata is awesome! Any blue spath, millie or prostrata, just take my money. I think I have a nub of palmers blue millie (or another blue millie?), got it from a friend a while back and forgot about it. It's been holding on this entire time and completely neglected. It's been digging the 14k's so far and has some PE now, so we're going in the right direction.

Same here haha, they check all the boxes for sure.

Nice! I was originally looking for the palmers blue. Once we grow them out it'll be cool to compare. He had another millie type, I believe he said it was a real old piece from AOA when they first started called the Joker. Very thick millepora. Looked like over 1" thick branches and it shot up like a stag but was super hairy. That was blue polyps on a green base.

Nice! Yeah, that sounds like a cool piece.

What's everyone make of this. I scraped my bottom eurobrace to help reflect light back up. I don't recall seeing this when setting up the tank but this is the first time I haven't had sand or coraline on it since. Almost looks like injection sites. I'm assuming the bottom panes are sandwiched with silicon, maybe it's just injection sites? Or has something to do with the PVC insert?

@gofor100 @Dorado

Do you recall seeing anything like this on your bottom braces? Both you have sand I know but I do recall bubbles rising from the PVC/bracing area during the test fill. I gotta go back through my pictures and see but I feel like I’d remember this.

Hmmm... I don't recall seeing that, but I've had sand in mine for a LOOOONG time.
Thats my deal too. I looked back on my pictures but non were with water, lights and no sand. I went over the tank pretty well but maybe it wasn't visible without a light over it. I don't even recall seeing the silicon swirls in it though so who knows.

Zoya says it's nothing to worry about structurally. She's gonna ask the builders on what they think it's from. Not sure what to make of it. I'm thinking maybe spacers that didn't get filled or something.

They were probably not expecting anyone to keep that part without sand or coralline algae. I think it is most likely some type of spacers so the silicone can fill in evenly.

I will check my tank when I get home later. It doesn’t have water in it yet, but I don’t recall seeing anything.

That’s be awesome Jimbo and I think that probably is what I’m looking at.

I don't remember seeing anything like that in my tank but like you said, it might be something that shows up when water is added. I can check next time I get in my tank; I only have about a 1/2" coverage in the front. The best picture I have when I got the tank doesn't show anything.

Thanks man. Yeah that's what my picture look like too. If it's not too much of a pain that'd be great. I have a feeling its probably not the case, my sides don't show any of it

I looked closely on mine. I flashed a light directly on it. I can make out a little swirl on the silicone from them going back and forth to apply it…but it’s hard to see until you put the light very close to the glass. I don’t see the straight lines though.

It’s even hard to photograph. You can make out a little of the swirl on the left.

Thanks Jimbo.

Someone just didn't check their work on mine I think. I had them come out to fill a hole in my silicon after receiving the tank. it happened to be on the bottom brace but between that and the side pane, so I saw it when looking straight down. If they missed that one, they probably missed these as well is what I'm thinking. The PVC seemed to release air when submerged, maybe it's just more noticeable with the lights and potentially water that seeped in there. Who knows, see what CDA has to say.

Nice score on the Bahama mama, that's a beautiful frag. I actually picked up a frag that looks a lot like your heliarc prostrata from the farmers market a few weeks ago. The seller said that it's a lot bluer in his tank.
