the reason your frag RTN is because the frag has an exposed edge on the bottom from when it was cut. it is a weak point for the coral and will "bleach" first then spread up. healed and encrusted corals will start at any point that they last received an injury such as fingers grabbing it or what not.

is that PE?!?!?!?! wow wish mine had that. i just moved mine lower in the tank because of all the talk a few days ago about having it lower in the tank. seems to be doing good
