I'm seeing polyps slowly starting to extend on the tri-color, but the SS is still just there...
hasn't turned white or anything, so there is still hope.
May try an iodine dip tonight...

i think my frag will be just fine. i am use to getting dull colored coral from An outside growout tank and it takes time to color up. its just the way it is and im more then happy with my frag. dont blame AIM for anything please, he was cool to help us out with a good coral. i like his store and his frags. he always hooks it up if you ask nice

dont worry your not going to win anyways because i am. :aetsch:lol i posted an played by the rules so consider me your compition then if nothing else. anyone else who dont play by the rules cant win simple as that. they can do whatever they want with the coral for all i care, i got mine and i love.

im seeing a lot more color every day, i think i see what may be some PE taking place on the small scale of things but nothing i can take a pic of yet. (to small). i set my ATO up the other night and 2 part is on the way. i just figured a way out to get auto dosing done for cheap so i think im going to be set pretty soon. maybe ill go do some water test tonight.

Welp, rule are rules. Why change them now? Some people take competition serious it seems. I personally think it's great, may the most serious compeititor win!

you mind sharing where in your tank, what flow, any advice you think; want mine to color up but more important I would really like some pe of some sort. No offense if you dont wanna share. Worse case scenario hi-light hi-flow is the way to go!!! Good luck with your frag.

Guys.... have some fun.... from what I've heard... a good percentage of SSC frags die for a lot of people... granted I had hoped for a better frag... but jeez... I'm not going to worry if I come in second place.....

Hey guys here is my pic. I finally picked up my frag this afternoon from SB. Someone had picked it up for me last saturday.
45g Plexi Tank
Hamilton Fiji sun 6bulb T5 fixture w/ 4 antinic one 50/50 and a daylight.
Brand New MP10es
20g sump half full
Vertex IN-100 Skimmer
4" sock( soon to be 2)
Reactors for carbon and GFO
No ATO or dosers yet.
I only dose for ALK and use #28 Blocks
15g WC every 2 weeks

Hey guys just read this statement about tabling acros. Gave me hope. Hope it does the same for you.

"There not any different than regular mariculture sps.... They just take time to aclumate to our conditions.... Most likely it will brown out pretty bad for awhile and then come back real nice!!!! Some don't... they survive but not thrive, it's a chance we take.... the shortcake is a classic example everyone I have had or my friends got were brown as can be but a few months down the road you got a show stopper piece!!!! That's been my exp anyway"
