They can have it and i'll keep my $5,999.99 take my wife to Vegas and buy her something that coast $2,000 then spend about $1,000 wine & dine her it will be peace and quiet at home.... priceless

Id rather get the Latezonatus over that but not for 6gs!

Thank you, SDguy! I couldn't figure out why someone would pay that much for a pair of unique (and ugly) clownfish. If you can breed them, there's money to be made.

do a quick google search on the scientific name. there is an article in MOFiIB (marinebreeders.org) about how these came to the US. If you can find the link the story is pretty cool. It takes like 15 pages to get it all out of the collector/breeder. The pictures on LA are pretty crappy, I think the ones I have seen other places make the fish look better. Either way, the person who purchases these will be the only owner in the US with them. These are more rare than clarions by a mile.

it could potentially be an investment for a breeder, but with the reactions of many people, it is evident that its not a pretty fish to most. so the question would be is that would people buy these later on down the road because they are rare, or because they look interesting?
