Heres a picture of one of mine.... I'm just about to paint them. What are you gonna use to paint? Will you then clear coat it? I was thinking about powder coating but it's way too expensive after the price of the steel. Just trying to get some ideas. Yours looks great btw...

If I remember correctly, the horizontal beams that the tank will be sitting on should rest on the vertical beams, not be welded into the side...

Won't that put all the weight on the beadline?

Btw love the metal stands, what would you say average cost is for one of these guys?

It will if the tank doesn't go all the way to the edge. When you put the plywood down it wont make a difference as long as the tank reaches the vertical beam. I wouldn't trust it with a glass tank though. That's why I like making the floor frame and the "tank contact" frame and then just add the legs and braces.

as far as cost it depends on how crazy you wanna get. I've spent 250-300 on the metal, gas, welding wire, grinding/sanding wheels, and bed liner for these builds.

Thanks! yeah man that's why i got the 110 lol I would rather have a 220 though. Practice make perfect man! you should have seen some of my first welds when I was starting out. I still think my welds can be better though... if they were, I'd spend less time cleaning them

makes me wanna get one
