Ya but why would u want to control something away from your house? Like with an apex, it monitors PH, temp, etc. I'm not saying its a bad idea...I'm trying to figure out what u would use it for?

If you think about it.... It's 49 for 1 plug... With an apex Jr for 149 you can have 4 plugs that are controllable and Gove you temp monitoring... And it only uses 1 outlet... With the other you need 4 seperate outlets

ya thats true! and like i said, why would u ever want to be able to turn something on or off when ur not home. My apex is all set to automatically turn on or off in case of a failure or over heat etc etc. But if someone didnt have it set up automatically, they could be warned by en email that their tankw as hot or something like that and then from their phone turn off their lights or turn off the heater..etc etc. But if u had no way of knowing temp, pH, how would this benefit u? im not trying to be sarcastic or mean...its an honest question...maybe im not thinking of something...

I can think of one reason... If you turned off your pumps at feeding time & forgot to turn them back on & then drove 2 hrs away to but corals & remembered... You could use this to turn your pumps back on.

Ya that is true, But also a very rare occasion. And kind of a noob by forgetting to turn ur pumps back on. Don't think that happens very often.

I use this one for my pumps for feeding and other maintenance - 8 plug surge protector with 6 of the outlets on a wireless remote, the 2 other outlets are continuous power for my Apex controller.

I think it's fairly obvious by visiting the homepage that this isn't being marketed to reefers...well maybe not reefers like us...
