I have a 30G about a year old... Got a mandarin about 10 weeks ago, still looks good and is pretty active. I'm I in the clear? How long does it take to starve one? Disclaimer, I've added pods every month as a safety net.
That sucks man. I'd definitely try another one in a bigger tank. The only downside is that they're so small, that you lose them in large rock work. I only see mine once every week or two.
Oh, that sucks I have a male green mandy in my 65g. He was pretty skinny when I got him in May but he's really chubby now. I have a 65g tall though and a rock wall and a small fuge in the sump so pods are plentiful. He started a eating mysis a few months ago and now he recognizes the sea squirt tube, when I put it in near him he swims up to it and waits for the food. He'll take it right out of the water column. I just make sure to feed the other fish first!
Even though you added pods every so often. .. bummer. .. I was hoping to read a positive update because I want an extra small one for my nano along worth a ruby scooter.
