The $25 I spent for corals that died within a week sure was a waste. I acclimated the corals just like I would do for any coral I get, but to have them all die within a few days really sucks.
I do feel for the loss that Jason had to go through, but do feel if it were any other retailer online or not, people would have requested a replacement or reimbursement.
Sorry for the rant, and please understand that I mean no disrespect. I’m really bummed with the amount of people loosing most of not all of the contest frags within a few days. Not to mention the reaction my wife had after she read this thread when she heard me cussing.

Yea I agree completely. I went straight home, acclimated my frags and placed them low where I know I won't burn them. I put the sps under the t5s since I knew Jason uses t5s. I'm no sps expert but I know how to acclimate and my tank is doing pretty good right now with PE.

Completely Unfair for prize to get distributed to others if SPS part was doomed from the start

sooooo the people who bought only zoas or lps benefit from others buying a dying/dead sps? not trying to cause trouble just trying to make sense of it.

I am also confused with the redistribution idea if the majorities sps are dead within the first week of the contest

I think some still have there's alive so they might get pissed if we start over, not to mention the pain it is to get everyone here again.
I don't think my tank's at the shop are ready for any sps right still tryring to get it back online...
but im open to w/e

I will have to agree with Six2seven when he said it is not a contest if 90% cant participate.

Can we all get replacements? looks like we can all agree we were all sold unhealthy frags.
