trimming puffer teeth

Has anyone here trimmed puffer teeth? I watch a video on youtube and it seems easy enough but thought I'd ask and maybe get some tips or advice

It's done by giving hard shell food to puffers.

I tried that. He does it for a little bit then the other fish swoop in and take over
