what annoys you when people see your tank...??

ok... so not that long ago someone came to visit... they sat right next to my reef tank... although, it looks like crap to me... still looks better than most tanks they see at the LFS or the aquarium...


so she sat next to the tank... glanced at it... and said nothing... she didn't say, "oh look it's nemo" or "that's a pretty yellow fish" nothing... i'm like.. dude.. stuff is glowing and moving around in that tank... man... it drove me nuts.. instead, she complimented on this wack phal. orchid hybrid i had on my table... you serious..? that's an 6 dollar plant... a 6 dollar plant you buy at lowes..


ugh... it drove me nuts.. i'm not saying my tank is the best... but it's the focal point of the living room... you can see it from the front door... walking in, that's all you see... LOL... how dare you not look at it...





hahaha... well, that's what annoys me when non-aquarium people come over...

not that long ago i had the paramedics in my living room... one said "nice tanks"... boom... that was pretty cool...

one time this one police officer was looking for some guy they thought ran through my back yard... so they went to the back... they started laughing at the goats... LOL... but they didn't find anyone... when they came inside the house, one officer came in, and lifted my canopy asking what kind of lights i'm using.. LOL>. then asked if i was on reef central... we had reef talk for about 2 hours... that was the awesomest...

People are impressed by the funniest things in a reef tank. And it's amazing that everyone associates them with Finding Nemo. Then I have to explain to them I would love to have "Gill" in my tank but I just can't

people that don't acknowledge a reef tank are either stuck up selfish B!%ch@s or are to stupid to understand. i remember when i had my 240gal cube set up people would be like " wow thats such a big tank" " is that stuff alive" or just get straight lost staring through the front and sides of the tank.
