my name is gumbii G way over here in bell gardens... um... that's somewhere between downey, commerce, south gate and long beach... it's funny because when we travel far to a fish store they always ask where we come from... i tell them, and they don't know where it's at... now i just say i'm south from the octo birth lady... lol... my cousin is her neighbor... fail/aids...
anyways... i'm 27 mexican and love animals... i got it from my mother... instead of buying me books and stuff she would buy me iguanas snakes and scorpians... also my dad always loved fish... we always had a fish tank... so it came natural for me to get one... i started out with ponds... but then my nephew and his friends killed all of my koi by throwing crap in the water column... so i decided to put my fancy goldfish inside my room... i ended up getting like 10 100g tanks at one poing... all freshwater... i was breeding rare cichlids and some extinct to the wild cichlids and catfish with the guys at usc... but i started my 90g reef a year ago and i gave up all of my freshwater toys... i still have an empty 60gE but it just turns water... i've been trying to sell it but just like me... everybody is poor right now... lol...
this isn't my first attempt in reef keeping... i tried the nano thing when it was like the hot thing to do... and i just ended up failing tremendously... lost alot of money and i got pissed... now i'm getting rid of some LPS and i'm focusing on SPS...
well enough about the hobby...
like i said i'm mexican... my dad is from tampico mx and my mother was from el grullo jalisco mx... my family is like major disfunctional especially after my mother died of cancer...
i used to be a professional body piercer but has been more of a security officer most of my working life... i went to school i have my AA degree in general automotive... i went to school to be a chrysler automotive technitian and never got a job because my liscense is suspended for racing and a supposedly "high speed chase"... but that's BS... i just didn't want to pull over on the side of the freeway... i'm 7 units away from a BA in english... surprizing haw...? i was an triple major... auto, english and philosophy... the auto was cake though... not much brains involved there...
now i'm an unemployed father of three... they aren't my bio kids... they are my sister that is in jail now... so my sister and I adopted they... a one year old girl... and two boys 2 and 3 years of age... the funny thing (well to me at least) is that i hate kids... lol... i never wanted kids and was okay with the fact that i'm gay and it's just not going to happen with me... but taddah!!!... owned like whoa... but it's all good... i love they with all of my black heart...
i look like a scary mofo since my face is pierced, i have pentagrams tattoo's all over me and never smile... but i'm a cool cat... i have a shitload of friends and always find more friends... i love my friends... and all of my closest friends have fish tanks... we started up a small local fish club called bell gardens fish club... lol... BGFC YerP YerP!... i'm the bad influence that makes them buy the tanks...
well i think that's enough about me... i'm pretty sure someone you guys have seen me lurking at different LFS... lol... i drive all the way up to burbank, west la, to OC and san diego sometimes... we might head out to ontario this weekend to hit the frag meet... so see some of you guys there... maybe...
i'll try to my best to post good stuff... i'm a forum junkie... i frequent a bunch of different forums most of them fish and car related...
and yes... i did grow up with cholos and gang members...
