I remember my first salt water fish,
It was a little percula clown and a anemone that I got at ( PETBARN ) in Pasadena about 25 years ago.
The place was one of my favorite fish store and thanks to them I had spend my kids college money :rap: but I love the hobby !!
I still love clowns and anemones here some of my clowns and enemones.

Almost 30 years ago, 3 damsels and a dwarf lion in a used 55 gallon tank. Undergravel filters for the win. 2 of the damsels and the dwarf were still alive 5 years later when I sold it.
Damsels Alive:
Fiji Devil (yes it was)
Neon Velvet

Not so much alive:
Domino

I still love damsels and swear one day I'm going to setup a 180g with like 100 of them in there... It would be a bitchen tank.. for a while

They told me to start with a damsel and I didn't want to so I got a $700 set up that day I set it up and I send my sister the next day to get me the clown and anemone :)
Lucky I got lots of live rock and sand for a 75 gal for the cycle to start.
my clown made it but not the rest of the fish that I put the next week

My first fish was a percula clown and my first coral was a green toadstool frag I got from someone local.

Ivan, are you still in the pasadena area? I am in San Gabriel. Your nems are beautiful. I just lost one and will be looking for a new one soon. Let me know if you ever have a split you want to sell. Nems and clowns are still the favorite thing in my tank.

My first fish was my clownfish that I named Mike. I don't name my fish anymore cause they're so many and don't wanna get too attached if they die. Haha I still have him after six years. He almost died of velvet when I first started my big tank two years ago, but he was one of a dozen fish who pulled through in QT.

green polyps (they weren't named back then) and green chromis. both actually survived several tank upgrades. but that chromis racked up an impressive body count.
