Scratch my car please...

Sorry to hear mike. Is it on the outside or inside? How did it happen, in case there is something to be learn here. I will share my experience first.. S2K came over my house one day and told me... "hey, you better be careful with those mag racks. If you ever move them, the coraline encrusted on them can scratch your glass." I told him.. you think so???

A few weeks later, I was taking photos of my rack to sell some pieces, and to get a better angle, I needed to tilt the rack. Rather than sticking my arm in the tank, I used the magnet to tilt. A day later I noticed I had made several hair line scratches just by dragging that rack with the coraline on it :( Let it be known that I've been doing the exact thing for years, and have been lucky because I tend to rotate and clean out my racks. Not so that time around :(

The take away here is, don't let S2K over!

Sorry to hear mike. Flipper scratched my tank too. I went back to the tunze even though it doesn't work as well at least I don't have to sweat scratches.

I got some bad scratches from my flipper too. At the beginning, it was really fun to use to scrape stuff and I went a little crazy moving the thing. Now I only use it to remove the hard crud that accumulates at the bottom of the glass around the sandbed and use my piranha/hammerhead instead for the light algae.

I will go with the opposite crowd and I will say my car. I enjoy my German fat babe ride and do not like to see any cosmetic issue on her, hehe!

It is depend on how you look at it bro Mike. Light scratches doesnt bother me. I think it is normal in this hobbies, and same as car. I rather enjoy every fun part of the tank than blaming myself on minor normal things like scratches.

Yah... but this is TOTM Mike. A scratch here and there may slow down his reclaim of his throne!

The throne is for the king who does what he likes, not to please other. Other words people has to please him, not another way around.LOL

But in all seriousness, a scratch is much more irritating. A scratched tank is due to my mistake. But a scratched car means someone else either used your car for leverage and/or just doesn't care for other people's property.
