WTB Cheato!

Im having the worst luck with getting Cheato to grow. Bought some and it stays green but gets crunchy and starts to fall apart. I have awesome brown/Cyano break out in the fuge also. Im guessing bad bulb and flow. I got rid of the cfl bulb I had in there and bought a Par38 LED bulb from Home Depot. Gonna take out the sand bed and just keep live rock with a small powerhead to keep flow. With that said anyone doing any trimming close to my hood? How much do you want for it and any pointers to help me out?
