Newbie question. Are polyp and head the same?

Im sure drexel means head but reefers would say price per polyps usually on zoas/palys.

But technically, there can be thousands of polyps on a coral

But yes most in the hobby call them heads and a head of frogspawn could contain multiple polyps depending on where you can cut it below the flesh as far as I know. But I could be wrong.

I've always referred to them as polyps, because that's what they are and I would never refer to them as heads. And yes, I totally agree with Jake in that regard. I started in this hobby when only books were the source of information, not the interwebs. So the information was vetted by scientists, etc. Heads constitute many polyps or a certain size. It's basic coral anatomy, which most hobbyist should know or want to know. Jake was a champion of correct information and that's something I can totally get behind. I'm not trying to be a jerk about it, but we as hobbyists should know what we're talking about.
