Sorry to hear. That stuffs a *****! First day lights on I only ran actinic and really eased into my light schedule. Seemed to help.

Did you slim really wet during lights out? I had mine running to where I had to empty my cup daily. When that stuff dies off you want it out ASAP.

I think that's what went wrong. The day I started wrapping everything up, my swc started showing its swc true colors and was being temperamental and didnt skim as well as it always does so I am sure that played a role in my 3 sps deaths

I didn't wrap the stands from the back, and I left openings in corners since my room stays dark even during the daytime due to where my apt is located. I really do think it was the skimmer not pulling out the nasties as efficiently as it usually does.

I don't know about that, I have been running skimmer less for 2 weeks now and everything looks great.
