your tank should be fine i done lights out for cyano much longer. or when my bulbs busted and i was gone for a week. no lights should be fine but do acclimate them when you do uncover the bags.

how many hours on sps tank, how many on lps/softy and how many hours on fuge?

as of now, i was thinking and have all tanks set for 5 hours tonight....down from regular light schedule of 8-9 hours each. what you say my gay feathered friend?

Thanks for the info....i am a bit apprehensive because i have never had any algae outbreak like this where i had to resort to the lights out method. so i guess i have been lucky all these years...and now the luck ran out like lowbudget's manhood the day he got married.

Two or three days with the lights out definitely won't hurt your SPS. They will probably look better than ever. I have lots of SPS and I do this every once just as part of my maintenance routine. It really keeps nuisance algae and bacteria under control.
