I have had even up to 4 tries on certain Sps corals and still managed to kill that certain piece. Here's my short list of corals I killed more than 3 times.

Hawkins
Red planet
Pearlberry
Tricolor Valida
Garf Bonsai
And a blue simplex

Anyone have a list of corals they've murdered on a consistent basis?

Out of these I'm consistently fragging to rescue the red planet and Hawkins and tri color. Sucks to suck.

I have lost two of my red planets from my new tank...not only the sps...I also lost two designer clowns one black ice and one premium snowflake. I found both on the floor...what a bummer to lose both beautiful designer clowns.

It's not the tank or the corals fault.

Hmm who's fault could it be??? lol

Only corals I've ever had a hard time keeping are mushrooms. And that was after I started bio pellets.

At least you "still managed to kill", I just kill, effortlessly :);
Not sure what is worse, mine just lose the color gradually. So they look like sh...............t. So ugly I think they rather die LOL.

I have Red Planet and Red something, the guy told me it was red dragon but I know now it is not. They were red and very nice looking. They are both GREEN now, WTH!

I used to have pink lemonade; it turned well, lost all the yellow or pink. Died eventually :)

I bought a couple of "Aquacultured" colonies and only 1 of the three have flourished. My Mint Green Horrida colony is doing great with awesome growth! I have luck with Millie's, Stylophora's and Monti's. It seems like some of the Acropora's frags I recently bought are starting to show some color so my fingers are crossed!

By the way, if it helps. 120 gallons, 24 inch depth, using Radion g2's at a max intensity of 45% a their peak!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I had a nice green milli, then a tank crash where I rescued a nickel size of the whole colony. Grew it back to 3" x 3" and then started looking bad when I had an alk swing recently. Just threw out all but .5" today. Not sure it might rtn on me in the next few hrs...

For me, I can't keep mauls or lunars alive. Generally bad luck with zoas/palys lately. Got a 15 frag pack of zoas for Xmas, only 6 or so didn't melt on me.
Oh yeah, and fruit loops too...

I've never had any luck with Red Planet..... As for my Tri-Color and Garf Bonsai been hanging in strong trying to survive. They are brown but still have good polyp extension. Just need to dial in the water parameters at stable numbers.

Mauls and fruit loops don't care for lots of par. Put em close to the sand. I have both and they never melt. Matter of fact my mauls grow like 12 heads a month on the regular and they are just on the sand.

Encrusting montis, xenia, and oddly GSPs. My montis don't grow, xenias melt, and GSPs don't grow (I know this is a preferable problem)
