........Safe. Was thinking about this and I could say I wouldnt chance but know some one has. Lmk what kind and how long has it been in the your reef. I know some can be kept but what about clown, huma huma and others of that sort.
ive pulled off a humu for almost a year now and had 0 problems with it. the only thing it does is move frags around on the frag rack and spit sand, which gets blown off by the power heads anyway.

what happened is that he starved the tank trying to get a tang with a trap... so he went for the smallest fish... he had him in the for2 months or so...
none of they triggers harmed the cleaner shrimp...
a large blue jaw a very pretty fish... but a sargassum is more reef friendly...
I have a blue jaw trigger for over 6 months now and have never had a problem with shrimp coral or clams, but like other say they eat like pigs and get big fast but really pretty fish one of my fav.
Mine doesn't bother the corals. He usually swims near the top and follows me whenever I'm near the tank. At night, he fits snugly into a nook and sleeps.

yeah I got rid of my Niger Trigger for that reason... man it was a pig and would not wait for me to let the food go before nibbling my fingers. Nice personality though. Just an absolute glutton.
It didn't bother any shrimp, craps, snails, or corals though in my experience.
