Blue Throats and Crosshatches are known to be reef safe. I had a pair of Blue Throats and never bothered my corals. They do eat alot though

my buddy had a niger trigger in his tank... it started eating his firefish... so i put him with my triggers...

he had a blue jaw trigger... but they kept getting stuck in the rock work and dieing... they're idiots...

a sargassum (red tail) trigger is really mellow reef safe but he's somewhat expensive... age had a nice one for 110 or something...

the most baller reef safe is a crosshatch... tom at carson had some nice ones for really cheap... i think 250 or so... they were nice...

ive pulled off a humu for almost a year now and had 0 problems with it. the only thing it does is move frags around on the frag rack and spit sand, which gets blown off by the power heads anyway.

what happened is that he starved the tank trying to get a tang with a trap... so he went for the smallest fish... he had him in the for2 months or so...

none of they triggers harmed the cleaner shrimp...

a large blue jaw a very pretty fish... but a sargassum is more reef friendly...

Mine doesn't bother the corals. He usually swims near the top and follows me whenever I'm near the tank. At night, he fits snugly into a nook and sleeps.

yeah I got rid of my Niger Trigger for that reason... man it was a pig and would not wait for me to let the food go before nibbling my fingers. Nice personality though. Just an absolute glutton.

It didn't bother any shrimp, craps, snails, or corals though in my experience.
