    New featured LFS: Coral Gazers

No, Mike. I'm doubtful you even bothered to comprehend my previous post. For your information, the first link on the home page to "Featured Local Fish Store" takes a user to the feature page, and not this discussion. On the feature page, the owner has a pretty thorough introductory explanation...

    New featured LFS: Coral Gazers

It does seem strange that some of you who have had great experiences with this shop feel the need to guilt those who are posting what they in turn have experienced. For some perspective, please do note that many of us may be visiting this store for the first time, and are doing so in response to...

    New featured LFS: Coral Gazers

To Mike: Although I don't mean to offend, I must point out that your post mostly sympathizes with the state that Coral Gazers is in. The previous poster assessed the store based on how he honestly perceived it. After reading his post, I couldn't help but reminisce about the trip I took with my...

    Looking for Dry Fiji Pink

Anyone know if any local LFS's carry the DRY type of fiji pink? I'm looking for 40lb bags preferably, but may consider the 15lb variant. I've seen plenty of the "arag-alive" stuff...but I'd prefer dry. The closer to zip code 91106, the better. Thanks!

    Pseudocorynactis

I had some that came as hitchhikers a while back as well. Mine had a neon green tint, as opposed to those other colors in the linked photos. They move to where they want, and they have survived three tank moves/breakdowns. Not sure if I can attribute their survival to reproduction or just plain...

    Hybrid LED & T5!

That genesis is pretty cool...but i'd wager it's quite a bit past most people's budget. Build one yourself?

why does my tank get like this??

Please do not get Margarita snails. They do not adapt to reef water temperatures that we keep our tanks at. They dwell in temperate conditions. Your best bet, as others have mentioned, which I will echo, is to limit introducing nutrients, and to prevent dead spots where food / stuff can get...

    Age of Aquariums, long beach

We just moved into the (general) area from San Diego, and was looking for a decent LFS. Age of Aquariums has an impressive shallow display. Giant Clam! Selection didn't look too shabby either--prices were excellent from what I could tell on the SPS colonies.

where in OC to get Plexiglass?

There are a few local in san diego that don't sell for much cheaper than that. I went with TAP plastics, got a 24"x24" for just under 30 inc ship IIRC. Arrived well packaged. The other cheaper alternative is to look up your local university's machine shop. I also went to mine to pick up some...
