I wouldn't do it either. The copper is in the LR and will leach out, even if cooked or soaked in bleach and throughly dried out.
BTW... not a good idea to have LR in a QT tank anyway, use pieces of PVC pipe instead.
In 2008, some people reported 9 / 420 / 1260 Mg
It's made to Tunze's spec by HW Marine in Germany. Same mfg plant that makes Reefer's Best and HW Marine's own label.

I'm thinking about switching from Tropic Marin regular to Tunze. Anyone use Tunze? It's reported to be a little higher in Alkalinity and Calcium.
BRS has an ok price for it, when considering a volume purchase and free shpg.
Looking for 1 or 2 Tunze 6105 or older controllable stream pumps. I have a 7095 controller already. Must be good working condition and reasonable. PM is the key. Thanks!
One of my 10 yr old Tunze 6000 died. Looking to replace it with one in good working condition, with transformer and reasonable. Must be controllable with my 7095.
Thanks!
If you already have the pendant and ballast, try raising it to get a better spread for 30 x 30. 250w should be fine for an 18" deep tank. I personally would get a better designed pendant, like lumenmax elite or luminarc full size.
The UCSB was deep sand bed filtered to 2 microns I believe. The tap is closed down due to construction on campus. I believe Scripps is still open.
I've used UCSB NSW before and had some algae issues, but the soft corals and fish responded very nicely to it. It does have more nutrient than ASW...
Your sailfin is actually a Desjardini variant, nice!
If you decide to part out, I might be interested in Flame Hwk, cleaner shrip, xenia.
