So pulling pumps to soak and noticed my newest tunze 6105 that the cable that connects to the actual powered has rotted off the wires.
This happen to anyone before? Tried contacting tunze but keeps saying my phone number is not a valid number

That is the reason I switched my skimmer from a tunze hydrofoamer to a skimz dc 5000. After the third time s cord split at the motor block I have enough with tunze. The last hydrofoamer arched out and blow my Neptune dc8.

I'm not hating on tunze I LOVE tunze.
My other 6105 is about 15 yrs old and works on apex flawlessly.
This newer 1 still works great just worried about stray voltage with those bare wires out. Wondering if warranty coverage being its erosion or possible opening it up cutting cords shorter and soldering it back

Like Jose stated if you contact Roger who is in Texas and send him your powerhead he will repair it and send it back to you usually within 7-10 days. Outstanding customer support

I have had a few Tunze PH do the same thing and one of them the wires completely broke off where the they enter the motor block. I spoke to Roger and he told me something about when the cables where made from a certain manufacture that they didn't add a catalyst to the plastic and saltwater does what it does best. Call him he will tell from what year to year had that problem. The new generation PH's are suppose to be fixed.
