    Goodbye LEDS

The light is a 24" inch long Odyssea. 1 250watt metal halide. 4 HO T5's. 4 moonlight LEDs. I immediately changed the MH to a 14k Phoenix. I also changed out the T5's with super blue actinic. I only run the actinics in the morning and evening. The Phoenix has a nice blue hue so I don't need to...

    The "Flipper" scraper

If they could only be automated like the robot vacuums...the 300g would be a breeze.

    The "Flipper" scraper

Where has this tool been my entire reefing life? This is a must have for anyone who hates using a scrapper than a cleaning pad. The Flipper is the best of both worlds without using two tools. I was concerned with it's ability to remove hard algae. No problem. It cleaned up the hard to get...

    Goodbye LEDS

Corals getting better color. I like the illumination much better than LEDs. I don't run the actinics with the MH. When I run actinics, I use all 4. The 14k Phoenix MH bulb has great color. Has a nice blue hue.

    sand issue

Not sure how long the gravel has been in the tank but be careful about a complete removal. The longer the gravel has been in, the more debris has collected. A mass removal may cause a nitrate spike. I would remove a small portion and test the water. Repeat until the gravel is gone.

    Goodbye LEDS

Thanks. I read some good reviews on the Odyessea. I was concerned about the price being so affordable. It's hard not to buy into the hype of expensive items.......

    Goodbye LEDS

Well after months of agonizing, I ditched my Vertex Illumina LED fixture. I have been running it over a year. Loved the control and the colors but my corals hated it. I am sure the user was the error but I couldn't get it dialed in. I got some pre-sets (10k, 14K, 20K) from Vertex but nothing...

I have an Inferno BTA that I was trying to get a strat in trade and I had no takers. The issue is that not many people have one or because no one is fragging. Good Luck.

FT: Inferno BTA for Stratosphere Zoa

Only looking for a Strat trade. No other offers being considered. If I can't trade, I will post a FS thread. Here is the story...A piece of the BTA got stuck in the overflow three weeks ago. I retrieved the piece in the overflow and quarantined both pieces. I wasn't sure if the piece would...
