Anyone with reef brite lumi lite vs. tech led.

Is there a significant difference? The price suggests so but I'm supplementing with a MH so will the cheaper lumi lite be fine?

70 rimless getting wet! Finally jeez

30x30x20 thanks to gveng and another before him. 24x24x18 sump. Herbie drain, return flex up and over the back. Used the TLF aquastik for the rockscape. Gonna have two engineer gobies so all rock is on the bottom glass and hopefully super secure. Rock was acid washed then soaked in old...

    Allardi clownfish pair and GBTA

Wife came home with a new set of onyx clowns and RBTA she likes better than these allardi clowns and GBTA. I'm not going to put both sets in the same tank for fear of clownfish wars. Currently the male has been kicked out of the nem. This happens for a week then the male is let back in for a...

    Free sand and live rock

About 75lbs of sand that's been stored indoors since Sunday. I'm assuming it's still considered live sand. Tank was up for close to a year so it'll need a good rinsing. Also have extra live rock mostly rubble rock pieces I won't need.

To keep or not to keep. Bristle worms

Got a live rock crawling with them. Should I put them in my new system or let them rot? I've heard they're a pain because they sting but also technically beneficial because of their cleaning abilities.

    30" cube plumbing setup critique

Getting it wet tomorrow. Just wanted to see if things are looking ok or if there are any "real" issues. Not not picky you gotta start over crap just down and dirty will this work or should I turn the sump around and place things any different? Skimmer is an eshopps 120 that will sit on a media...

    Sicce 2.0 pump WTB

Have a eshopps 120 and its pump has trouble starting up correctly. I have to unplug/plug in like 10-15 times to get it going. Has no problems once it's up but I'd like to replace it with a more reliable version. Anyone have one laying around please LMK. Thanks!

    LFS quarantine options

I can't remember the LFS that did this just last year. Was it reef raft? Chance used to be my go to other than a crazy guy in long beach. Either they've shutdown or are not active on here any longer. I've been to a few local places lately and have been less than impressed with their stock. I...

    GBTA closed up completely.

Do they do this before a split. Was being hosted by my female clown for a week now huge and happy but last night was half the size. Today in the last hour it almost completely closed pissing off my clown. Do they do this before a split?

    Eminent aquarium in walnut

Got a referral from another member and walked out with $100 in livestock. Super knowledgable and healthy fish/inverts. They wouldn't sell me a whitecheek that wasn't eating. They said come back in 5days. Awesome. Awesome shop. Small but great.

    What's your favorite tang?

I'm gonna steal a topic from russ13 and ask who's got a great idea if you were gonna have one tang in a system other than a yellow what would it be? My vote is whitecheek/goldrim

Fastest way to cure dry rock

So after an acid/baking soda bath and rinse what's the fastest way to seed dry rock and bring it to life? Just a bottle of dr tims and a raw table shrimp? I'd like to get the new cube up and running as fast as possible. I could add a piece of two of LR from the current setup if that would...

WTB: metal halides. Yes I'm serious

I have solar so I don't care about the energy draw or heat so does anyone have anything decent out there for a good price? I'm assuming a good price is all that's left because you all have these collecting dust in the garage or shed right?
