Just picked this up, Had some problems at first there was 4 holes, 2 were plugged and glued closed so i had to rip them all out. Im guessing it was freshwater due to this config, 1 hole in left back corner and 1 hole in right back corner, and 2 holes kind of in the center of the tank. Ive never...

i like the idea of using a sock cause im able to visually see that its doing its job.. I dont enjoy buying socks all the time tho, i might take it off for a while and see what happens
