This going to replace my 120G tank, Which will be up for sale when i am done. The new tank will be a 36"x36"x18" rimless starphire tank,on a bar type stand. The tank is on order so its time to start on the stand.

OLD 120G...

The start of the new...

i love shallow tanks.....
nice stand too...what is that a little travertine>??
Yup, travertine and glass. I have always had a cube tank, until my current 120 4x2x2. But it just didn't do it for me. So back to cube and I thought I would try a shallow tank this time.

That stand looks real nice. Im going to keep something like that in mind for the future. I love the idea of having a drink and watching my tank.

Thats awesome. If I had a setup like that, I could sit there for hours drinking and looking at the tank.

Thanks, my last cube was a 30" in the corner of two couches, we would sit For hours looking at the tank, drinking beer on the coffee table. So one day I said what the F.... I should be siting at a bar drink and looking at my tank. But our landlord saw my 30" cube and said it had to go since it we were on the second floor. So I said when time comes,: I will have a bar tank! And it's that time!

Love the touches bro! Looks like a winner to me! I am jelly too!

My next tank is gonna be a cube but it's gonna be lounge level with low couches.

I messed up by doing the long tank. Wish I had done a 4 foot cubish tank only 24-30" tall though. I would also do the over flow in the center and hide it with rocks and coral.

Man can't wait to see the scape. Gotta invite me over for a brew.

My doors always open if you want to see my tank. You came when it was Fresh as can be. It's a tad better. Still humble beginnings.

I still haven't had my chairs built on this beast.

Thx... This will be my true reef tank, that I will try and keep more then shrooms, and fish. My 120 just didn't keep me interested and it turned in to a sad fowler.

I would love to check out your system closer and thanks for all the info.

My favorite tank was my 30x30x24 cube with an center overflow box covered by rock. I think that's the ultimate setup for a reef tank, I tried to build this tank to your 4x4x2 dimensions but my better half said too big.

Funds are tight so I'm trying to put the cash were it counts and find deals.

You'll be welcome too come over and kill some growlers at the fish bar. You a beer drinker? I love them IPA's

This Summer the budget went from Whiskey to Beer. Jk ya I love beer IPA's are tasty. Been into ales lately.

Ya man whenevers bro.

Oh the 4x4x2' dream. I would have tear me 20' ceiling and run all sorts of crap. That's why it's a dream. Happy with this setup but man I wish I could turn the clock and do what you did and piece it together.

Oscar has a cube, reminds me man waiting for that build. He's almost cycled. Maybe he's keeping me in the dark on purpose.

I hung the light today, but i don't know if I like how it will hang with the cord in front of the window.

Maybe i will try and make a light tree,
and see if I like that better.
