so im finally posting some pics of this frag tank i built in nearly three days. i had the tank and the stand skeleton and some extra plywood from my 100 gallon i am remodeling. skimmer came from my 60 gallon, sump came from my 60 gallon, return is rio 1400. majority of the pieces came from my 60 gallon that is up for sale right now. only thing i purchased was a 250 watt metal halide fixture (100$ from RUKIS), two four inch fans(40 from Rukis), two bulkheads and i was on my way. in the "floating canopy" you will find two 65 watt PC actinics, two moon lights, two four inch fans and the 250 watt 20k not sure which brand , Hamilton?
tank needs no chiller! i live in HB and temp in my tank has not gone over 78.6 degrees thanks to the two fans.
so here is some pics. i am thinking about building acouple of these cuz they look trick and i can mix and match parts relatively cheaply... if ya know what i mean. so let me know what you think granted i lost half my acros when i moved last week this thing is awesome.
