4 Bulb Combo

Done a bit a research, but just want to see what everyone thinks.

55 gal. 48"x18"x" in. Won't be keeping SPS.

I currently have a 4x T5 Aquaticlife system, and am ditching the stock bulbs for some better ones. I'm thinking...

2X ATI Aquablue Special- claimed 15K color with elevated blue
1x ATI Blue Plus- 420/460
1x ATI Purple Plus- mainly to bring out some colors

Will this suffice? Thanks in advance for any advice.

With 4 bulb only, 2x Aquablue will make your tank super white. Unless that is what you want. I would go with

3x Blue Plus (Trust me you will love this bulb!!!)
1x Purple Plus .... Or ..... Coral Plus .... Or... Aquablue Plus


A lot of people tend to prefer the Coral Plus over the Aquablue Plus, but that up to you. In my opinion I would get either Purple Plus or Coral Plus.



Are the bulbs 39 watts each? If you're not going the SPS route then you should have no problem keeping the corals you want. Mine is a 4x 39watt fixture and I have everything from Frogspawn, ricordea, all the way to Rose Bubble Tip Anenome.

How about 2X Blue Plus, 1X Purple Plus, 1X Coral Plus. Sadly, I have to experience in this combo yet since the bulbs I have are pretty fresh but that's my next bulb combo.
