Looks great. The PE on that green stag/tabling type acro is nuts. Really interesting growth pattern
That’s a frog skin LOL, I ended up pulling about 5 pounds of it out 6 months ago and it just grew back. It’s a really aggressive Grower.

for perspective, that little gold chalice (bottom right) it’s about 12”

Finally, after about 2.5 years, it split…. Now what do I do with it? I didn't really want one in the first place, now I have 2

Welp, I’m getting tired of cutting the acropora back ever 3-4 months. It may be because we are winding down on a 3 month (getting more like 5 month) remodel/recipe/flood damage repair

I think I’m turning my tank into an acropora cage fight. Let the strongest coral win.

I may change my mind (and I’ll regret letting the coral get that thick) but for now I haven’t even done a water change in 4 months.

Most of the first floor still needs furnishings, we can’t even decide on which frame for the TV but at least the kitchen is done.

For comparison, this was how we bought it:

New kitchen looks brighter and bigger. Love the new sink, very slick. I liked how you did the backsplash all the way down to the countertop instead of having that 3 inch counter material on the wall.

LOL. The brown cabinets and countertop on your old kitchen is exactly like my kitchen when I bought my home. I didn't have the funds to re-do the kitchen, so I painted my cabinets white during the pandemic. It definitely makes it look brighter.

I was tempted to paint the cabinets myself, I‘m just too big of a perfectionist. We did keep the old boxes, the lake face frames are well built. we stripped the doors off and had all the wood grain filled and sanded and 3 coats of lacquer shot with an airless. New doors and euro hinges.

We kept the Baltic brown tops partly because i had redone the MBR with the same granite and it looked great and it saved a few $K but also it cut a month or two off the project. I did have to cut out some of the pressboard in the island and fitted it with 7 ply birch because of 30 years of splash damage.

That back splash was a bit of an undertaking. It’s a 9’ porcelain XL format slab. I moved the receptacles into the upper cabinets and installed plugmold under the cabinets. There’s a receptacle every 8” I really wanted that uninterrupted natural stone look for the splash. It’s probably my favorite feature of the entire remodel

I had to cut the slab to put the water lines to the island sink. I took the opportunity to put 1/4” PE from the RO system under the sink back to the refrigerator. I was hoping for crystal clear ice from the ice maker but no dice. I added an inline DI cartridge but still not getting clear ice. What gives?

I don't think you can get perfectly clear ice from the ice maker on the fridge. You probably need to start with distilled water and getting all the air/gas out of it. Not going to happen in a fridge ice maker.
