According to Vortechs site it states the Mp10 is for up to 9.5mm and my cube is 10mm thick? just wondering if anyone has a Mp10 on their 10mm tank that could shed some light on this
Thanks everyone for the input and suggestions

Two MP10's on each side of the cube would provide good flow for SPS. One MP10 would leave a lot of dead spots. It all depends on your scape. I think an MP40 would be nice for a future upgrade, but may be too much flow.

I have the same 50g cube and despite the thickness of the glass, my MP10's hold up just fine. I have one on each side.

I am running mp10s on my 50 gallon cube (10mm glass). I only run them at 70% and my sps couldn't be happier. I would say mp40 if you ever plan on upgrading to a larger tank, which I'm debating now. As far as the thickness of the glass you are fine without the spacer.

I run a Sicce 3.0 (714gph) return pump with dual flow eductors on my returns and one mp10 on my Lee Mar 50g cube. I have plenty of flow, but the mp10 barely stays on my glass due to thickness. One slight touch and pump easily falls off the glass hanging by the wire ziptied. I vouched for a mp40 and just tone it down.

Did you remove the spacer on the Mp10? Someone said thats what they did .. I can barely feel the water coming out of my outlets.. Do you drive a Mk3?

Well the specs say your pump runs at a little over 600gph with 4 feet of head pressure. I am running the atmann 3000 that came with my tank. I believe it runs at a little over 700gph with my head pressure. Right now I have a valve turning down the return flow to a little over 3/4 power so most of the flow in the tank comes from my mp10s. The 14hf would only give you 30 more gallons of flow per hour. I have read that the rule of thumb is only 8 to 10 times of total tank volume per hour, if that's the case we both have too much flow lol.
