It's still early in the process, but after 6 months of waiting and accumulating, I finally got my new tank, thanks to Riblet. Its a leemar 2 sided Starfire 36x18x18, I have a 6 bulb Hamilton fixture waiting g in the garage, a eshopps skimmer and sump, glh dosing pump, brs ato, ect. I should be picking g up the rock in a week or so, a friend of mine has some pukani and Tonga shelf that will go in there. For flow in the tank I have a mp10wqd, that I bought planning on a different build. Unfortunately this tank is 1/2 in glass, so I need to decide what I am going to do with the mp10, I have read and heard that I can still use it but I have to strap it to the tank. I'm not sure if that is the best option, so I might get a mp40, or gyre. Any suggestions would be appreciated. IMG_20150726_163521605.jpg , not much to show yet.

My tank is 1/2" glass too and I've 2 mp10's mounted no problem.... unless my snails or starfish would venture in to investigate then it falls off.

Sweet tank. Wish I hop on that deal when that tank went for sale
I was watching it and saving pennies since the day Riblet posted. I got lucky it was still there

Check out a tunze 6040 for flow. It holds fine on my 1" thick acrylic.
Thanks ks for the advice, going to check out all options, I still have a bit of time.

I am kind of leaning toward a single mp40 right now. Did a test fit with me mp10 and it just fell off.
My tank it's 1/2.glass .... before I got the gyre...I was thinking on the mp10...all the search that I made ....say mp 10....Will be fell of...go with gyre... instead mp40...gyre150 = 2 mp40's.......lol

Been working on the plumbing, I'm not used to plumbing a tank that is drilled in the back panel, but I think it came out OK.

Also mocked up the scape IMG_20150811_115933172.jpg
Waiting for Marco mortar to arrive so I can glue it together. Sorry for the cell phone pictures, I don't have a good camera.

Started scaling last night, and of course it turned in to an all nighter. Hope you all like it. IMG_20150825_010711813.jpg

very nice aquascaping. I'm looking into the same minimalist look for my tank. will definitely use this for inspiration.

Thanks, honestly I was planning on a minimalist scape, just started building with the rocks I has and this is what came out.
lowbudget, yeah that's the next step I have to figure what I'm going to use for flow. Planning sps dominant so what ever I do has to push alot of water.
