Anyone that's uses it ...have you noticed nuisance algae or cyano from using the AP?

Both. I use it sparingly now. I do believe my colors have improved but, that may be due to other better husbandry.

Be careful with all AAs.

i have been using acropower for the past Week. And i just tested my alk and cal earlier tonight and both drop slightly. Before using acropower, my alk was constantly 8.6 and tonight when testing, it was 8. And for calcium, it went from 450 to 420. I will continue to document my progress. I have noticed more polyp extension since dosing. I will continue to update this thread bi weekly to see my progress. All in all, its good stuff. Slowly but surely, my acros are loving it. 🏻 although i will monitor alk and cal closely. I Well keep this thread updated to show my progression as time goes by. Al i can says this stuff does work.

Whats their dosing regiment? Tank size, and how much ml per dose, do they dose daily, weekly?

You can really only see a difference with Acropower if your tank is already stable. no one should use it to make up for any lack in color or growth.

So you don't feel there's any benefit to using it on a newer tank? Mine's not quite 6 months though some of my frags are older (in my tank at least) by a few months since I had them before I upgraded. I recently started using a Acropower and Replenish to try to boost growth.

Also, just throwing this out there for you. I wouldn't do the dose daily, just my opinion. When I did it that way the first time I used acropower I got a really bad case of cyano. I never had cyano before, and after stopping acropower I have never had it since. If you look up online some people get cyano, and I'm not sure why. I started using it again a month or so ago but I only put it in once a week or so. This time I have not had cyano. So I'm not sure what the deal was and if it was the daily dose that did it, nothing else changed.

Thanks, yeah, I've been doing the once weekly dose, not daily, and not as much as they recommend. We'll see how it goes!

Update
Its been 8 days since my last update and ive notices both a drop of alk and cal
Alk was 8.6 now 7.7
( just tested before my update)
I dose 2ml daily
I will increase dosage to 3ml starting tomorrow
Calcium was 430 now 400
Daily dosage was 2ml
Will increase to 3ml starting tomorrow
Mag has stayed constant throughout using acropower

What i have noticed since using acropower is an increase in polyp extension and growth.
My frags have started to branched out/encrusted more.
Which is probably the reason to my alk and cal drops.
All i can say is this stuff does work from my experiences so far.

I will continue to update.
