R u using calibration fluid or RO/DI water to calibrate refractormeter

Pics of the montis and whatever is growing on my rocks.

You can see best in the red circles where the peaks have started growing the rust stuff on them. Still alive with polyps though.

Dead superman monti frag starting to get covered with the stuff and surrounded by nasty.

Profiles of the rocks showing the clearish "hairs". They're actually more defined and fine looking in real life but I can't get that detail to show in a pic.

Yes. What do you think it is? I agree and can't wait to get everything done so I can change over to the new tank! BUT I was planning on using my old rocks in the new tank and really don't have a choice in using at least some of them unless I get rid of all my polyps and my favorite huge holey/branchy rock. I wonder what a hydrogen peroxide dip would do to this stuff... but also, my clam is on that rock...

Hi Lindsey suck to see a thread like this. What salt are you using and do you test for potassium?
Thanks Jose.
I have used RSCP for a long time but when filling my tank after moving I ran out and didn't have enough for the amount of water I needed to fill it completely so I bought what I could get locally which was Instant Ocean.

I do not test for potassium, nor do I dose it. Should I be?

Let me in on what you're thinking... do you have a theory?
