I wonder if it would still work if both pipes dumped into where the drain used to be
Did you drill a hole in the top of the durso? Like you normally would or is it sealed?

Well this method was meant to imitate dual drains but since I didn't have that I had to improvise. I thing it would work but I didn't try it since I have two reactors and a red dragon pump in that section so no place for a sock holder lol

hmm, I have a small section just for the drain and then it flows through 2 filter socks. The drain section is the full depth of my sump so I can easily dump more than one drain there

Oh you got flex tubing, yeah not sure how it would work... Maybe Jeff has an idea?

yea I can change it out for pvc, I did that as an experiment when I changed out sumps

Hey everyone thanks for the responses so far. I got sick this week and missed viewing my own thread. I am catching up now. But thanks again for such a great response it is greatly appreciated.

What noise you talking about? The water fall noise or gurgling noose is the piping? If it's waterfall, you raise the height of the drain or add some some sponge on backend of overflow box to silence waterfall noise. If it's gurgling, too much air is getting trapped in the piping. Try making a larger vent hole for air to eacape

I have a standard overflow. The noise is mostly from the air and water when going into the sump. I think i am getting tons of air trapped in there. I have a little bit of noise in the overflow but that is coming from the drain. I don't have any waterfall noise because the drain is so high up. I was thinking the herbie would help with additional drainage into the sump and the regular drain. Would be quieter because of less flow.

I just lowered my flow but now I will try this so can increase flow.
