dont buy "filler" corals that you dont particularly care for just to fill empty space...sooner or later you will want that space back!

First: Do not add fish to your tank one after another. Quarantine your fish ALWAYS especially if you have a fish that you love because one sick fish can kill ALL your fish. Choose your fish wisely and always make sure they feed them at the LFS and are eating before you buy.

Second: Green corals are the most common so try to have a diversity in your tank. All of the beginners that I know seem to have green zoas, green frogspawns, green anemones, green hair algae and so on. lol.

Third: have fun and remember to enjoy this hobby because it is a beautiful world and addiction to get into.

Do not ask questions on Reef Central, there are many Nazi's there. Ask here much friendlier and better advice.

Don't be known as a flake. If u tell someone u want something of theirs, make sure u hold up to your word. If u change your mind for whatever reason, atleast shoot them a pm and let then know

Make sure you know exactly how you want to set up your tank with corals or fish or both and take your time no rush. I learned the hard way and did not let my water mature and have lost hundreds of bucks in fish and coral.

Patience patience patience... more patience, research, patience, online research, patience, asking questions, patience, and taking your time with everything. (redundantly redundant?)

The worst thing you can do is rush, spikes, disease, extra cost, and frustration are sure to follow if you do.
