I did a water change, took out one filter sock, and added two fresh socks.

Drum roll, we got ten tiny blue leg crabs for $5. We have been watching them all night. LOL

I'm waiting for my installer to hurry up and finish my canopy so I can have some lights.

Tuesday I pickup my reinforced overflow lid and custom dosing container from a local acrylic guy. Wednesday my skimmer stand gets delivered.

Tomorrow I plan on drilling some 2" holes in the back of the stand for increased circulation.

Just tested amm-0 nitrite-.5(1 yesterday) nitrates-5-10. Once nitrite hit 0 water change then my picasso's! Finally finishing this cycle lol

Did you happen to cycle the rock in a brute trashcan?

My rock was sitting in a Rubbermaid tote for months from my previous tanks. So once I set up ammonia kicked in from die off I'm imagining. Once I got a piece of live rock it kicked the cycle in gear.

It's been like Christmas over here Fedex and ups deliveries Tuesday, Wednesday and today. My refugium light is being delivered Saturday...It's been fun hooking up equipment.

I used dry with some rock with that arag alive sand and a piece of love rock from Chris (PGR) which seems to have really kicked things in gear. I hav some Dr. Tim's one and only coming to the house today. You guys think I should throw it in or just let the cycle continue without?

You should just wait since you already cycled your rock. Then dose the Tim after and you will be able to stock a lot faster since you'll add bacteria after your tanks initial cycle. Just my 2

Mark should be about ready for a small addition as he got Dr. Tims around a week ago and his cycle before dr Tims was about a month.

Don't sweat the nitrite. Its not a big deal at all.
