Thanks guys for clarifying that for me. Ya i was just telling my wife that this thread opened my eyes that this guy who I will be calling soon to confront about the parts, totally made me eat it. People are cold blooded.

Seems as though a lot of people have been really shady on these boards as of late. Really bums me out.
I want to be able to trust people on here. Bottom line is we are a small community and eventually we will all run into each other.
A couple months ago someone on another forum was saying he hated his new maxspect fixture. I told him I would ship him a new 8 lamp t5ho fixture if he sent me the led to check out. He lived in PA I think. I didn't even consider if he would burn me. And he didn't. We both kept our word even though we have never even met each other. I really hope I don't need to be super suspicious of all hobbyists now.
It just seems a lot of shady ish has been going down as of late. Like the dude giving out polyps etc. This stuff really bums me out.

Hey Bean or any moderators that sees this, make sure any new Accounts from 'her' or 'he' maybe even it's IP address gets the boot!...

BTW, YOU CAN'T FILE A 'CLAIM' IF THE PACKAGE HAS BEEN DESIGNATED AS DELIVERED AND THROWN AWAY! It has to be returned to the shipping company (FedEX, UPS, USPS) and then evaluated by their claims department before a check can be issued.
At least that's my experience with USPS so I assume similar protocol from other companies.

No i didnt send it with insurance. I figured it was only 100 miles away. I do have a claim pending with fed ex. i still dont see why they would send me a fw HOB filter, and not my skimmer. if i received a damaged skimmer from another reefer. i would send it back immediatly. not throw it in the trash.. what kinda sh!t is that?
