I took an 3/4" acrylic scrap that I cut to the same size as the mounting bracket. Then routed out holes in the same places the magnets were in on the gyre on each side of the spacer. Then drop magnet in all the holes then slapped an 1/8" piece of acrylic on each side to seal the magnets in.
