My life is too busy lately and was thinking about hiring my LFS to start doing maintenance every couple weeks. Figured I'd rather throw the cash at fellow reefers that might need/want it.
Any reefers out there in the Temecula area with a love of reefing want to start doing it instead? Would be every other week and would need to include the following (and the supplies to do it):
1. 25G water change - don't care what brand salt as long as it's consistent and you keep my parms in line.
2. Full param testing - you don't need to remediate above water changes, but I need accurate regular tests so I can adjust dosers, etc.
3. Thorough cleaning of the glass (outside and in) and overflow - this includes coraline buildup, corners, and sandline.
4. Cleaning of Evo's - stupid things buzz and start running backwards if they aren't cleaned regularly.
Items that don't have to occur every two weeks, but shoud be addressed as needed:
1. Cleaning of skimmer body - I do the cup weekly, but neglect the heck out of the rest of it
2. Cleaning reactor and replacement of phosban/rowaphos - typically needs it once a month
3. Cleaning of skimmer/return pump - typically needs it every six months or so
4. Cleaning/dusting light fixture - fans typically need blown out every month or so
5. Cleaning of sump - typically every three months I will scrape salt, suck detritus, clean glass etc.
