I have an excel spreadsheet that was created by someone on reefcentral. It is one of the best spreadsheet ever. You can put so much and keep track of all the data you have and tons of other info also. Has graph of every parameters and so on. The spreadsheet is called "Aquarium Log". Let me know if you're interested and I can email it to you.

You mean aquabus right? Do NOT use regular USB cables.

cause the video on the site said dont plug other device other then apex devices. it will damage the apex

They're not the same. I think a USB A to USB A would be okay but those are pretty old. New USB have things that could hurt the apex or the device on the other end.
