Ordered a 20k 150w double ended MH bulb and I was very upset seeing the color it put out. Definitely wasn’t expecting the color to be like it was. Honestly don’t even know what kelvin that would fall under. I bought a new JBJ 20k bulb yesterday at my LFS and you can tell a huge difference. Anyone have any experience with Aqua Bright Solutions and their bulbs?

Assuming the one you don’t like is the purple? Idk this brand, and don’t think a burn in period would help. Probably best to try and get a refund or replacement.

Yes the pic on the left is Aqua Brights. That’s my next step going to email them and see if I can get a refund

Agree that it is really purple.

MH and double LEDs? You going to have a lot of PAR.

It's definitely the bulb. I would return the bulb if you can? Also, there is a color shift with halides when they first burn in, but there isn't a huge difference in color like you're seeing. Every brand and batch of bulbs will be slightly different, that's just the nature of halides, but that is a little extreme.
I compared the cheap ebay SE bulbs to Hamilton and Ushio, and there was a noticeable difference in color between them all, then change the ballast only to see another difference. Give them a call or email, hopefully they'll get you sorted.

The LEDs are cheap Amazon lights. Basically just using them to add some deeper blues. Definitely not expecting it to grow anything lol Been sitting in my closets for a couple years why not rig it up lol It’s an Anemone/clownfish tank.

2 for $40? That’s a great deal. Ya the Hamilton one looks really nice. I have 2 Hamilton 250w mogul base ones on my bigger tank and it puts out a good blue. Curious to see the Radium’s everyone swears on. $100 a bulb
