Been gashed

My Lawnmower Blenny has a huge gash in his side and I have zero ideas of what caused it. I only asterina, nassarius, scarlet hermits and a fighting conch in the tank.

Gash is on the center of his body. Almost looks filleted.

Is it a new addition? Possible infection or parasite? None of those you name attacks fish that I know off.

New and only fishy addition. Has been in tank for 2 weeks, and was fine at 11am today. I wonder if he got spoked and hashed himself on a rock. I just really hope he pulls through.

Youd be surprised how hardy fish are. If he's swimming around he should be ok. Did you use live rock? Maybe there's a pest such as a eunice worm

No I didn't use live rock this time around.
