kent scrapper works great! try and get a hold of one. Avoid getting sand or tiny star fishes on your algae sponge cleaner or magnet cleaner.

These work great on acrylic and i also use a piece of acrylic down around sand bed since acrylic won't scratch acrylic as long as you keep it flat against and not tip on it's edge.

Thanks everyone!
I don't think scraping with a piece of acrylic would be a good idea for me because its a nano cube with a slightly bowed front & rounded corners on the front. But I'll try the other suggestions

I have used a combination of the acrylic magnet (for the "soft") and a credit card for the harder stuff.
Only problem is I cannot reach to the bottom of the tank and after bending this way and that,
I feel like a gymnast except with a lot of pain.. Thank god for Motrin..lol

Lol
I have a magnet cleaner with felt or something like that on it that works well for the soft stuff but it won't get off the light brown film like stuff that is all over the acrylic. I bet a credit card would work well... Thanks!

On our old acrylic frag tank we would use the blue and white filterpad stuff.. It worked really well for the light duty stuff but you would need a bit of elbow grease for the harder film algae and coralline.

We also just found and used a Kent Marine scraper on our QT and it worked great with out scratching. Good Luck! :)

Lol you're right! It is glass. I looked it up for sure. Duh, lindsey! I guess someone told me it was acrylic somewhere along the way & I never questioned it. I've been so paranoid about cleaning it scratching it & worrying all this time for nothing!
Btw...I hadn't gotten around to cleaning it yet & I noticed it was magically clean a few days ago! I thought it was a miracle from God, but asked my husband just to be sure & he said he had cleaned it... So yes it was a miracle from God! Lol!
He used a plain, soft sponge.
