I've been wanting something exactly the same as this. I sketched it up months ago and sent it to Aaron at the sps coral store but never got a response. I wonder if they are still around. What ballast are you using?

I had two maxspect razors and wanted to do same with t5s and I emailed Aaron and nothing... but still had dead spots so that's why I went with 3 radions since I'm planning on keeping sps soon... they might be busy I'm glad Jeff took the time to do it for me its a phillips ballast I got from homedepot works good so far. You can buy ATI retrofits from reefgeeks but they don't have that housing. I'll check the brand and let you know tomorrow.

I was thinking of buying the aquatic life retrofits ballast. I like how yours is set up but id like to use aquatic life ballast instead. Ati retrofits are pretty expensice

Depends how many bulbs you plan on using...it does get expensive tho

I saw a graph that showed ati vs aquatic life and a bunch of other different ballast. Ati was the best in performance and aquatic life was not too far behind. I plan to build the same thing as you with 2 Ai Vegas and 2 bulbs front/rear over my 70 gallon

Yeah its the Sunlight lol I just went with Phillips since I didn't wanna wait haha its was $36 for the ballast. And yup its in the works to lift them its crazy how 4-48'" can light my tank and living room lol I might break it on purpose haha

The whole retrofit kit is $120 at a glance of the site. And I would need two. Expensive to me but it would be cool to have it and trip out on it for a while haha

Those lights are so bright I looked under the t5s and leds and was seeing spots for a few mins lol

Haha maybe not a good idea for me since the tank is in the bedroom and I work crazy hours so I needa sleep. My LEDs are pretty focused and not a flood of light. Do your t5ho flood the room with light?

Yeah specially t5s but you can control it with reflectors that attach directly to the bulb, I'm just going to run them 4 hrs a day so its not going to be on at night

thanks to this, i've had to empty out my mailbox like 3x now.. -_-

also, i got a new phone (previous Note3 had GPS issue and they sent me a new one), and didn't back up the MMS, so now i have no idea who wanted what.. i'm sure ashley prefer it that way.. :lol:
