So much for getting out of the hobby, lol. Here is the setup for another pico. I decided to try the long version of the Mr. Aqua 7.5g. I used some of my old parts to get it going. I'm going to keep two fish and maybe a shrimp. My plan for corals is to keep some of my favorite zoas. Here is what I have so far...envy oranges, purple death, nuke greens, blue hornets, darth maul. I also have a blasto frag I picked up.

Equipment:
7.5g Mr. Aqua "long" aquarium (18 x 9 x 10)
AC50 (sponge, pura pad)
AC surface skimmer box
Aqueon 50w Heater
Beamworks 6x3watt LED Fixture (from the INfamous aquatraders)
MP10 (replacement wet side on its way)

8.5 lbs. LR from CK Fishworld
12 lbs. LS from caribsea

Livestock:
O. Clown
Tailspot Blenny

Coral:
6 varieties of zoas
Blasto

Setup Day:

Most Recent FTS(about 3 weeks in), yuma has been moved to my 3g:

Wow nice setup. That light should be enough, and it looks pretty clean on it. You can probably even keep some sps if you set the mp10 at full blast.....lol you should try it

Moved a couple of things around. One of my rocks was sprouting a weird algae all over, so I swapped it out. Also picked up some jokers, green dragon eyes, and some eagle eyes. I have a pair of small clowns in the tank now.

Finally got a good pic of my flaming suns. Probably my best zoa. You can see my blue-green stag frag in the upper left:

New Dragon Eye Frag, shortly after added to the tank:

New FTS.

My female clown...she ain't too pretty, lol:

nice little setup, i have the same exact tank on my dresser.

I like the idea of the overflow box on the HOB filter, i might have to do something similar, have you thought of using a bigger filter with maybe some room for a small 50watt heater?

I have an AC70, but I like the simple media setup I have in my AC50 right now. It would be nice to get the heater out of the display though.

I'll think about it, lol.

Very nice tank

How often do u do water changes?

My gf has a 8g cadlights at work. I like ur dimensions alot better. Hers has the overflow with the filtration in the back, not sure if its a pro or a con.

I have been doing 1g changes about every 5 days or so. I think I am going to switch to 2g once a week. I rinse my AC50 sponge every change, and I change out my pura pad after 3 weeks.
I like built in filtration because you have more room to hide stuff. However, the downside is that you need to run a submersible pump, which increases the temp a lot in picos.

Very nice man, where did you get the blenny?
I got the blenny at Fishworld in Covina. I think it is the best shop in the San Gabriel Valley now. I got the mean greens in post #15 there for only $15!!!
