You can only catch it once. Lol

Oh my clown isn't dead!! He must have just been exhausted from swimming in the overflow box. Yeah!! He's out and acting normal.

Just a quick update, after increasing the amount of the Metro Diet contents all I have to say is wow. I was going slow and doing 25-50 dosage but I went with the full recommended dose and within 2 days the ick was not on the fish. That was about two weeks ago, I know that ick is still in the tank and this could be a phase but the fact that it disappeared from every fish at the same time was awesome and a good sign. My fish are fat and happy and so am I. Today is my 44th day of the diet. Tomorrow I will stop using the Metro and Focus but continue with the other item and see if they can keep the ick at bay. Thank you Adrock for the advise!!

After months of silence due to the embarrassment of getting ich in my new tank. I thought that it would only be fair to start updating with pics etc. But first I was able to get my wife's dream fish, the whole reason that my wife was excited about the big tank. Its a Chevron Tang. She saw Chad's Chevron in his display tank and was in love. I bought him from PYA and got an awesome deal on him. He was already qt'd and has been at PYA's store since October so I put him in my acclimation box so that I can make sure he is eating and not showing any signs of ich. It's been 3 days and he's eating like a pig and not one single dot. If you haven't used an acclimation box in your tank I highly recommend it. It's a good way for fish to be introduced slowly and you will know pretty quick if there is going to be aggression issues. I gave him a full 24 hours with lights out then 24 hours of actinics then the lights went back to their normal schedule. Here's a video of him. Sorry it's so blue I only had actinics on.

Acclimation boxes are great unless u crack the lid and it slides off. Happened to me a couple times woops you'd think id have figured that ot by now. Especially wrasses they find the smallest Opening for their escape.

My the fish gods be with you... May they protect your tank from another outbreak!

Lookin good man! Good meeting you on Saturday at CG
It was nice meeting you to Andy. It's always cool to actually see the people we talk to online. You should see the brown chalice I bought from Chad. It miraculously looks awesome in my tank. LOL

Thanks Bean, yes I tried to use the box with the cardinals last year when they were tiny and within 15 minutes they were all outside of the box looking in. LOL Epic fail. I also have two black pieces of acrylic on top so that the light does not blast down on him.

My space invader from racinjason; Been in the tank for a couple months and is growing nicely. It' has three eyes forming on the back side. And two on this. This is a pic from when I first put it in the tank.

How's the SRO 8000 working for you?
He's running the xp5000 I think. The 8000 wouldn't fit under his stand
Yeah I'm slumming it with the 5000. Chad has the 8000 running on his tanks at his shop and he loves it. My 5000 is finicky but once you dial it in it does a good job. My only complaint is that I don't like how the water level can only be 6 - 6.5 inches. Such a large skimmer has to sit in a puddle of water.
