I have Lil nests all over the place. Looks like a lizard laid black eggs all over my tank. Like Sanh said I must have blown one up when I moved rock weeks ago.

Now what's the best way to rid myself of this crap? Unfortunately I can't really take the actual rock out and remove the stuff.

I've heard of emerald crabs, anyone have success?

Can bad rodi water also contribute to bubble algae? By bad I mean with some TDS. I went from cyano to bubble algae. This hobby rocks.

How bad? I had a few bubbles on a piece of the rock a maricultured coral was one. Threw that crap in the trash and haven't seen a bubble since. Anything you can remove from your tank?

I'm worried for my blastos. They look like Xmas hams.

Can you scrape any of it off and suction it out during a water change? When I've found it on plugs and things like that, I can usually pick off the bubbles with my finger nail.

emerald crabs work for me but it is a slow process. some people have had success with Vlamini (sp??) tangs, I have not tried them though. The tangs grow really big, really fast though so you will probably need to sell the tang after a while. I think someone at vivd was up on this tang so you may want to call and see if they have any additional input on the tang.

They have to be like a purple tang to survive my tank. I'm talking Magic Johnson.

Emerald and Ruby Crabs will eat it, as well as certain Rabbitfish. Juvenile Emeralds are better for the task, the smaller the better

FUTHER MUCKER!! Guess who just joined the club?

Emeralds are cool - but I found they like to eat SPS polyps like birdsnest, stylo, pocci. Might try a foxface.

Operation Emerald in effect:

Added two medium sized emerald crabs. If they eat my "beginner coral" oh well. As long as they don't eat Acans and blastos I am not to concerned.
